Here at Matthews Meats, we strive for continuous improvement in all areas of our business, whether that be maximising efficiency within our distribution network and supply chain, or further expansion to our facilities to better cater to the needs of our customers. Producing, processing and distributing an average of over fifty tons of meat and poultry per week, with full back up lines should machinery malfunction, we always plan ahead to ensure that our customers get what they need, whenever they need it.
Allowing us to further increase our stockholding and cold storage capacity, we have recently installed and commissioned an additional freezer at our meat processing plant based in Rochdale. This takes the total area of our cold chain to over 200 square metres, carefully controlled, monitored and recorded throughout based on the HACCP principles. We have also recently invested in an additional Treif dicer, extending our meat dicing line and enabling us to not only increase throughput, but also be more flexible during production.
